The property is owned by renowned horseman Bruce Davidson, one of the 50 most influential horsemen of the 20th century as cited by the equine magazine The Chronicle of the Horse. Davidson became a member of the United States eventing team at age 18, winning his first medal as a member of the silver-medal-winning US team at the 1972 Summer Olympics, according to Wikipedia.
A top-level rider on both the American and international eventing scenes during his long career, Davidson won gold at the 1976 and 1984 Olympics and silver in 1996. He competed regularly at both the World Equestrian Games and the Pan American Games, winning medals at both, as well as winning repeatedly at the top-level Badminton Horse Trials and Rolex Kentucky Three Day events.
He is a legend in the 3-Day Event world and is also known for his horse breeding and training abilities, which took place at Chesterland, where he lives.
